Kika's House presents an 8-week business formalization program for entrepreneurs in West Charlotte's 28208 community. Turn your existing side hustle into a properly structured, sustainable business with professional guidance and hands-on support.

Classes meet twice weekly: Saturdays (9:30am-12:30pm) and Wednesdays (6:00-8:00pm) 

 

Space is limited to just 12 entrepreneurs.

Kika's House: Economic Freedom Lab Program Application

Thank you for your interest in Kika's House - Economic Freedom Lab Program. We will seek to learn more about you and your business during this application process. The application will take approximately 30 minutes to complete all sections.  


Summer 2025 Application Period is as follows:


  • Application deadline for upcoming cohort May 31

  • Application review period:  June 1- 14

  • Decision/Selection period: June 16

  • Program start July 12


Program Information & Requirements


Program Dates: July 12 - September 3rd, 2025

Schedule: Saturdays (9:30am-12:30pm)

Wednesdays (6:00-8:00pm)


Location: Hybrid


Program Requirements:

  • Must be a resident of Charlotte (priority given to West Charlotte)

  • Must have an existing side hustle or informal business that is already generating some income

  • Must commit to attending at least 80% of the sessions (both Saturday and Wednesday)

  • Must have basic computer skills (ability to use email and internet)

  • Must be willing to formalize your business (register, set up business banking, etc.)

  • Must be committed to growing your business beyond its current state
